This policy covers this website. Data that clients process on the Silverhill platform is governed by the agreements we sign with them.

What we collect

We collect as little as possible. This website has no user accounts, no contact forms and no advertising.

  • Technical data when you visit: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and device type. Our hosting provider records this in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • What you send us: your name, email address, employer and the content of your message when you email us.
  • Job applications: your CV and the other details you choose to send when you apply for a role.
  • Your cookie choice: whether you accepted or declined optional cookies, stored in your browser.

Why we use it

  • To deliver this website and protect it against misuse, which is our legitimate interest.
  • To answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare or perform a contract with you or your employer.
  • To assess your application for a role, at your request.
  • To meet the legal obligations that apply to us.

We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not currently set analytics or advertising cookies, and it loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers.

We store one item in your browser’s local storage: your answer to the cookie notice, so that we do not ask on every page. It stays on your device, is not sent to us, and expires after 12 months.

If we add optional services later, such as analytics or an embedded meeting scheduler, they will load only after you accept, and we will list them here. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Who receives your data

We share personal data only with the service providers that help us run this website and our communications, and only as far as they need it.

  • Vercel Inc., United States: hosting and delivery of this website.
  • Our email and office software provider: the messages you send us.

These providers act on our instructions. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Transfers outside Switzerland

Some of our providers process data in the United States and in other countries outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area. Where a country does not offer an adequate level of data protection, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

How long we keep it

  • Server logs: only for as long as needed to operate and secure the site.
  • Enquiries: for as long as needed to handle your request and any business relationship that follows, and afterwards for as long as the law requires.
  • Job applications: until the hiring process ends, unless you agree that we may keep them longer.
  • Your cookie choice: 12 months, or until you clear your browser storage.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where they apply, the EU General Data Protection Regulation and US state privacy laws, you can ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold data about you and give you a copy
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • delete your data or restrict how we use it
  • stop using your data where we rely on our legitimate interests
  • hand over the data you gave us in a common electronic format
  • stop any processing that relies on your consent, without affecting what was done before

To use any of these rights, write to hello@silverhill.ch. We answer within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you live in the European Economic Area, you can contact the authority in your country.

How we protect it

This website is served only over encrypted connections and applies a strict content security policy. Access to the messages you send us is limited to the people who need them to respond.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The date on this page shows the latest version.
